To grieve and celebrate

I grieve and celebrate I grieve the soulful woman who once stood and walked tall, graceful and strong And now celebrate the soulful eyes that sees what was never seen before I grieve the loss of those afraid to journey with me when I was well And celebrate now with those not afraid to share my difficult path I grieve for those who strive for material things and ego fantasies And celebrate those who strive for good character and a soulful heart I grieve for all the adventures that took me round this incredible earth And now celebrate the shining sun, blue sky and butterflies in my yard I grieve the freedom I felt to be totally spontaneous and gypsy like And now celebrate the sacredness and presence of every moment I grieve and celebrate

Words from myself – as an 18 year old to the World

I wrote this when I was 18 years of age (19 years ago now) in my journal and this is the first time I have shared it with anyone:

My Message to all as a concerned intuitive young woman. I am too well aware the imperfections of our world, it is surely a rollercoaster. For I feel and see the pain people go through in life. Life is pain, but it is through pain and traumas that strength is found. Each of us is special and we each hold the gift of a unique treasure. To understand life and people and all that surrounds us in the now, you must first understand yourself. There is so much to reflect on within and around, yet sometimes we feel so lost. I want people to know they are Beautiful and that we are blessed with the greatest artistic tool/skill, our own individual minds! Our minds really do create the picture of our lives, and all we really need to do is Stop, and Listen. Realise that everything has a door, and that all we have to do is open one door to allow more doors to open. Sometimes opening doors can be quite a task, for the first door is to our SELF. If we could all just open that door, to be who we really are, you will unlock and reach many many dreams, dimensions, and potentials. The more doors you open the better life will be, and just Be. I believe in all. The key to following lifes path, whatever it may be, is to learn Trust, Truth, Love, Belief and Acceptance of your Self. Never be afraid of your deepest heart felt dreams – have Courage to do what you feel within. It is a feeling without judgement. We are all free and hold great potential. I give all peace and love today.

May you always feel loved

May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand.

May the pain you have known
and the conflict you have experienced
give you the strength to walk through life
facing each new situation
with optimism and courage.

Always know that there are those
whose love and understanding
will always be there
even when you feel most alone.

May you discover enough goodness in others
to believe in a world of peace.
May a kind word, a reassuring touch,
a warm smile, be yours every day of your life,
and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.

Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
Teach love to those who know hate,
and let that love embrace you as you go into the world.

May the teachings of those you admire
become part of you,
so that you may call upon them.

Remember, those whose lives you have touched and who
have touched yours are always a part of you,
even if the encounters were less
than you would have wished.

May you not become too concerned
with material matters, but instead place
immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.

Find time in each day to see the beauty
and love in the world around you.
Realize that each person has limitless abilities,
but each of us is different in our own way.

What you may feel you lack in one regard
may be more than compensated for in another.
What you feel you lack in the present
may become one of your strengths in the future.

May you see your future
as one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything
as a worthwhile experience.

May you find enough inner strength to determine
your own worth by yourself,
and not be dependent on another’s judgements
of your accomplishments.

May you always feel loved.

5 Minute Mood Makeover

Yes, we all have our moments of despondency, apathy, and just feeling down.  I think happiness is not determined  by how much pain we are dealt but how we recover from or respond to it. It’s not easy! but there are some activities that take 5 minutes or less, which are sure to elevate your mood…and I want to remind others that the smallest things or simple things in life can bring great joy.

Daydream. This is one of my favourite past times! and recently shown to help us think more creatively. So, think of your favorite film or television scene/show or characters, places and experiences you have had travelling, or goals that you are working towards- the ones that always make you feel really good.

Sunshine Bath. Go outside and sit on a chair, a lounger, or near a bright window and reap the benefits of the warm light.  Sunlight ups our  vitamin D, which in turn keeps serotonin (a feel-good hormone) high.
Stretch and touch your toes. According to Dr Oz “It opens up your hip joints, which is where most people store tension,” Hold the position for a minute, before slowly rolling up. As you lift, so will your mood.

Smell the Roses.  Appreciate the small wonders of life, that inspire joy. Looking up at the stars in the sky, butterflies and birds in your garden, the cuddle from your pet/s, a cup of tea whilst reading, the full moon, the first rays of dawn, a cherished card/letter.
Give to Another. How good have you felt when you have given something to another person without expecting a return? Make a cup of tea for a colleague, a morning greeting to a stranger, a thank you note, compliment another, a random act of kindness, or just your time.

Send out the Love. text a friend, loved one and tell them three things you love about them.

Exercise.  Do a quick 5 minute workout, dance or play with your pet…I’m sure you will feel better.

Be Present.Do Nothing.  The less you do, the better you’ll feel. Take one thing off your plate each day -say no, delegate or leave til tomorrow. Be present and just focus on each task in a mindful manner, just be.

Go Outside. Take a walk in the garden or watch a sunrise. Sitting outside for five minutes a day is enough to feel good and change your mood.

Touch. Give and receive a kiss, a hug, a touch on an arm. Touch is transformational and healing.

Look for the Blessings. Look for what’s good in your life. Look for reasons to be grateful. Focus on the positive. You cannot be both happy and sad, so pick awesome 🙂

Stop. Look. Remember. Look through photos, savor your good memories, read your favorite quotes, and keepsakes.

Make a happy face. Smiling makes you happy even when you’re feeling sad. Smile at the people you love and even the ones you don’t. Smile just cause!

Listen to music. There’s not much a great song won’t cure. Dance it out, close your eyes, go with the flow…

Love. Dwell on love. Feel love. Send love to people in trouble or in pain. Send loving thoughts to your family and friends. Speak and act with love.

Each tomorrow wears a silent cloak full of magic, for it is wrapped up in hope, love, dreams, success, potential, joy, freedom and peace. It is protecting All from knowing what the future may bring. So beautiful Souls who are weaved into my life, I want you to look towards each Tomorrow in the face with Love and Trust, remove any Fears that hold you back, because Tomorrow smiles back and glistens with opportunity to create each moment as you wish. The stage has been set for 2013 – so listen to your heart and make heart-ways..

With Love xo

Discover your psychic type -the emotional intuitive

I’m reading a really good book at the moment by Sherrie Dillard called Discover Your Psychic Type. It is certainly helping me understand my intuitive GPS, and how it affects my life and relates to my experiences with others. As identified by the author in the book, there are four intuitive styles -emotional, mental, physical, spiritual. Some of us might easily fit into one category or across all, however I find myself akin to the emotional type and thought I would recap what the emotional intuitive experience is like.

Are you an emotional intuitive?

Emotional intuitives (EI)  are vulnerable, sensitive and courageous souls who are ruled by the heart and have a desire to heal others hearts, and find the ultimate perfect union and passion in life. They experience the world through the vibrations of people, places and things. In general, they experience the following:

  • connection to others – they know and feel when something is happening with people close to them
  • feel other people’s pain deeply
  • heal and lift others hearts
  • their gift is unconditional love and compassion
  • ignite others hearts desires and urge you to risk it all for love
  • powerful inner experiences
  • naturally gifted at healing others by their presence (people feel lighter around them)
  • high expectations of themselves
  • profound sense of divine love and bless as they mission and highest state

Living with an Emotional Intuitive

Highly in tune with others emotional states, they can be overwhelmed by both good and bad strong emotions, in almost any environment. Sometimes they are unaware of why they are feeling the way they do, and the feelings can come and go so quickly. EI receives psychic information emotionally, through flashes of images or insights which can be traumatic for them as they feel it deeply. EI can feel immediate anxiety, sadness, or fear in relation to world events, personal accounts told by others or even wake up stressed, or worried without fully understanding why. As a natural emotional telepathic, they tune into an awareness of pain, stress, trauma or even happiness of another, which is intensified if they have a strong bond. On the positive side when they are in love or feel joyous it is intoxicating to them and like a natural high. They seek finding their perfect counterpart, be it a friend, lover, soul mate or teacher to match these feelings.

Challenges of being an emotional intuitive?

Because EI are a sponge of other people’s energy, and even places and things, they can easily go from one extreme to another with emotion. Often times, they do not even understand why they are experiencing a particular emotion. It simply washes over and through them, leaving them confused, fatigued and sometimes physically unwell. This can also leave them open to the following physical ailments:

  • allergies
  • chronic tiredness
  • adrenal exhaustion
  • PMS
  • ovary and uterine problems
  • physical exhaustion
  • headaches
  • physical pain

How to stay centred

EI need to learn to distinguish false emotions, for example, if they are picking up others emotions and impressions and not their own. EI need to not define themselves by what they feel and to learn to interpret energy objectively so they don’t lose their own power. They can easily make errors by being overly giving and caring to extent they lose their heart centeredness.

EIs need to seek regular retreat or solitude to just switch off and sort through emotions. The experience for them is very real and can sometimes bring on panic because they are so acutely self critical and feel too much from their environment. Being around people who are close to them, especially if they are in a bad frame of mind, will draw them to feel the same. They need to learn to physically and emotionally disconnect to find balance again.

Which other intuitive style balances an emotional intuitive?

EI would benefit well from having a Mental Intuitive (MI) in their life. As an EI sees the big picture, and works via the heart and emotions, the MI can help piece things together logically to understand it all, and bring grounding to the flighty EI. MI people are systems or logic intuits, and are good at seeing patterns, predicting things and being telepathic. The EI can help the MI get out of their heads, when they are overwhelmed by thoughts and bring them the love and sensitivity they need.

Embracing the emotional intuitive?

While EI make incredible healers and motivators to others, when they lack control and perspective they can run the very real risk of becoming enablers. However, when they understand how to interpret the energy feeds without absorbing the energy, they can guide and motivate people to move mountains in their lives and you will find that you will have your biggest fan and support in anything you wish to do!.

Let Yourself Feel Sad Sometimes – It’s OK

From time to time when I have to face things about my less than perfect health, it can get to me emotionally and I need to cry a lot, and I yearn to have someone who can embrace me and tell me I am safe and loved.  The one thing that is important about this is the ability to give myself permission to stop being so strong, and just allow myself to let tears flow…. it’s okay to wish that my current condition wasn’t apart of my life, or that I have lost something that is precious in life. It doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate all of the amazing things or people around me, or negate my realisation that things could be far worse. I have suffered for 5 years already, and the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional journey I have taken has been mostly in a  positive, graceful and courageous manner already.

But ..for today, I’ll be sad a little.

And tomorrow I will kick arse once more…

So it’s important that I share this message with you. We all have days where we wake up and feel a little sensitive or off? Everybody has a unique story or situation that has shaped them in their life, and it’s natural to feel emotions. Maybe it is grief, sadness, disappointment, hurt, rejection, vulnerability or fear?

But you know what?

It is truly okay.

Everybody has days like this. We are here to explore and grow from our experience in life. As a valuable human being it is your right, and your duty, to express yourself honestly and openly. Most importantly forgive yourself.

Sometimes instead of eating food (For me a little piece of dark chocolate), writing it out (which is what I tend to do at times), or trying to think positive thoughts (which are great), I will choose to SIT with it, and really FEEL it, because it needs to get out and run it’s course from the body. It’s not healthy to not face the feelings, acknowledge them, or explore them. Emotional armouring  will make them manifest later in one way or another or be stored in your organs, and that causes more dis-ease. We often block trauma with the mind but hold emotions in the body. So the mind moves on but our bodies don’t.

So…Ride it out…..spend a day or two, to get it out of your system… express it as healthily and appropriately possible …cry, talk about it, write it, hugs someone, use EFT, cuddle the cat, exercise, squeeze your pillow, practice breathing, get a massage, or perhaps be with nature….Then when you are done, wake up the next day, with a new outlook, and start from scratch with your positive attitude again. Remember that in each life some rain must fall. Rain is necessary for growth, and goes hand in hand for nature to exist. It cleanses and renews.

I am the soulful and blue eyed girl next door

I understand frustration, and battling on one’s own
I say that Love is everything in life
I dream of my soul mate, and feeling the energy of life

Journey of Spirit – Things to Know – Abadiânia, Brazil (Part 2)

About the Casa de Dom Inacio
Established in 1979 by Medium Joao Teixeira de Farias, as a place to fulfill his spiritual healing mission. The Casa is like a spiritual hospital, and operates on Spiritist doctrine, but is open to anyone regardless of faith/religious beliefs.  Spiritual entities (or Spirit doctors) work to help people heal physically as well as emotionally and spiritually. If you are drawn to this place, it is for one of learning and your own responsibility, and your Spirit brought you here. Joao has dedicated his life, and has worked at the Casa for over 20 years. He performs healings here, free of charge, every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – there are two sessions each day and people travel from all over Brazil and the world.

Entities (Spirit Doctors)
Spirit doctors are actually people who lived on earth and have now chosen to remain on the earthly plane in their out of body existence, and with connections to the divine source, in order to help humankind.

There are possibly more than 70 entities that work through Medium Joao. Some notable figures include St. Ignatius of Loyola (the founder of the Jesuit order – which was 27 September (Coincidently this is my birthday, and I was also a Jesuit priest in a former life), Dr. Oswaldo Cruz (credited with stopping the epidemics of bubonic plague and yellow fever in Brazil), Francisco Xavier, King Solomon, Dr Augusto de Almeida, Jose Valdivino, an enlightened being named Emmanuel, and other deceased physicians, surgeons, saints, theologians and notable figures in their lifetimes. These Entities take turns to inhabit Joao’s body to perform miraculous cures, healings, and surgeries. Not all reveal their identity, and one in particular merely asked to be called “love’,  explaining, “If I told you my real name, there would not be a building large enough in this town to accommodate all the people from around the world who would come.” When they inhabit Joao’s body, each spirit’s personality will usually come through, and sometimes Joao’s eye colour or appearance alters.

Before you have an intervention (surgery), you will go before the Entity. The Entity has abilities beyond what we can fathom. From a distance, that Entity can see you approaching and like a hologram they can scan your whole being, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, your energy fields, past lives, everything! They are here to assist in what your Soul desires. Your soul contracted before birth what you wanted in this life to learn. Entities work for the highest and best good, regardless of the outcome. It’s a powerful, yet brief moment when you connect with Entity.

The Triangle
The triangle symbol is something you become accustomed to on your visit to the Casa. The sides of the triangle represent Faith, Love and Charity. There are three prayer triangles at the Casa, in which people can tuck prayers, or petitions for healing (along with photos) into the bottom of the triangle. These are collected twice daily and given to the Entity for his blessings. It is customary to regularly visit the triangle, and place your head in the triangle for silent prayer, petitions or blessings.

Prescription / Herbal Supplements
If the Entity gives you a prescription, you will receive this Passiflora herbal supplement. It is basically the ground up leaves and flowers of the Passionfruit plant and it has not medicinal value. The power of the supplement is the energy the Entity has placed in your particular supplement, they can only be taken by you, and taken in particular order if you have multiple prescriptions. It involves taking one pill three times a day, and with strict instructions during tthe time you are on them –  you cannot eat pork or any derivatives, drink alcohol, or eat anything with peppers (i.e Black pepper, red pepper, white pepper, cayenne, chili peppers etc.)

Crystal Beds
Sometimes the Entity will prescribe a Crystal bed to help with the healing process. Of course you can also book sessions yourself whilst at the Casa. The Crystal Bed has 7 quartz crystals suspended on a frame above a bed, which align with and correspond with the 7 chakras of our body. It involves laying there with eyes shut, with soothing music specially chosen. The crystals cleanse and balance your energies.

Blessed Soup
Each day you visit the Casa  you will also have blessed soup, as it is part of your treatment at the Casa. If you are recovering from surgery, someone will bring some back for you. It is charged with the energy from the Entities and is part of the spiritual experience. Whilst in Abadiania you have the opportunity to help with preparing this soup, by working with others to prepare the vegetables (peeling, chopping etc). I can tell you that every mouthful feels like gratitude, love and a blessing!

Blessed Water
Water that is sold at the Casa bookshop is brought in daily to the Casa current room and is blessed. It is also part of your healing and experience, and you should drink as much as you can whilst there.

The Waterfall
The waterfall is sacred to the Casa and Entities will work with people whilst there, some have been known to have an intervention (surgery). Access to the waterfall is strictly only with permission from the Entity. You cannot go alone and men and women are to go separately. Photos and video are also prohibited. It is an extremely powerful experience fro those who go.

Gratitude is the unexpected gift

yet also the unwrapped present received each day

the little things can be the biggest surprises

Gratitude  is

Counting your blessings

Acknowledging all you receive

Noticing simple pleasures

Being aware of how much you have been given

Changing focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is present

Be grateful for what you have and where you are now

All you have is All you need – right now!

We are like a magnet, what you feel, be it love, fear, hurt, happiness, anger, resistance, joy etc, you are creating a force that attracts and draws you to events, circumstances and conditions in line with what you are feeling. In other words, our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, which include affirmations attract vibrationally what they are sending. When you sincerely express gratitude you draw to you more of what you are expressing gratitude for – your energy becomes harmonious and accepting – and it puts you in a resonance optimal for attracting those energies. When you resist, and not expressing gratitude, you attract that which you are not wanting – the polar opposite.

You choose your emotions and thoughts in every moment. So,choose to focus on thoughts of gratitude and you will in turn train your emotions and mind to respond with gratitude, and draw more abundance and things to be grateful for.

Getting into a state of Gratefulness

  • Think of 5 things today that you are grateful for?
  • Say ‘Thank you!’, ‘I appreciate you’, and ‘I’m grateful’ frequently to people around you
  • Be thankful before each meal, that you have food to nourish your body, when others are less fortunate.
  • When something becomes challenging, after your initial reaction, repeat to yourself ‘I’m grateful that things are not worse’.
  • Acknowledge the moments you feel spontaneously grateful, in the moment
  • Write a list of 100 things you are grateful for (for example, think of people in your life, travels, accomplishments, skills, places you have lived, good luck moments, opportunities, blessings, timing, kindness, events, things in nature, things you have been given, education etc)

You are Abundant
