The Flower of Life – Sacred Geometry – Sacred Lunar Eclipse Oil

I have only made 6 of these sacred alchemy oils, which are available on my ETSY store.

This is one of my newest intuitive creations, called The Flower of Life.

Every aspect of the process of creating, and bottling this beautiful oil has been deeply intuitive, personal and sacred to me and designed for your personal sacred use. I didn’t think up this blend, it came to me from the Source of all that is.

Compiled and blended at the Full Red Moon, Lunar Eclipse in Libra on 14 & 15 April 2014 in Perth Western Australia with with my powerful Fluorite crystal, and infused with Reiki nightly during the waning moon. The intention of this Sacred ‘Flower of Life’ Oil is based on Balance/Harmony, Expansion yet grounding, and removing blockages on all levels to allow new patterns to take hold and unveiling a hidden harmony or connectedness.

Fibonacci numbers frequently appear in the numbers of petals in a flower. The positions and proportions of the key dimensions of many, if not most, animals are based on Phi. Examples include the body sections of ants and other insects, the wing dimensions and location of eye-like spots on moths, the spirals of sea shells and the position of the dorsal fins on porpoises. Even the spirals of human DNA embody phi proportions.

Creation & Ingredients

The infusion of the 15ml (0.5oz) oil is made according to the golden ratio measurements (the fibonacci sequence, Phi, the Divine Proportion) and is an infusion of Organic Sunflower Oil (Sunflowers are prime examples of growing in the Fibonacci sequence), and local Western Australian pure aromatherapy grade essential oils of Agonis Fragrans (Fragonia) and Santalum Spicatum (Australian Sandalwood) -up to 40% EO in the bottle. A piece of Western Australian Mookaite crystal is anchored in the bottle.

My beautiful and aromatic Santalum Spicatum, a male (Yang) oil, is sourced from a special population of Sandalwood trees in a particular part of Western Australia. The supply is 100% managed and sourced by indigenous Australians and has been used for thousands of years by indigenous Australians as a relaxant and to promote focus. For tending to the unseen wounds of the heart and spirit, healing them so that you can be strongly and fully in the power of who you truly are. The spirit of this oil provides strength to persevere and overcome your fears and challenges so you can become the person you were truly meant to be.

The uniqueness of Agonis Fragrans, a female (Yin) oil, is its ability to work at a deep level, releasing both physical and emotional blockages. This gentle yet powerful essential oil possesses the ability to bring harmony, peace and balance to both physiological and emotional conditions, it is effective on all body systems. My oil is sourced from the southwest region of Western Australia.

A French aromatherapist, Dr Daniel Penoel, discovered that the ratios between molecular families in Agonis Fragrans EO and the proportions between the various molecules are arranged according to the Fibonacci Curve / Phi ratio / Golden Ratio! Because this Golden Proportion is reproduced at several levels, we obtain a picturesque molecular structure that is described in modern physics as Fractal. To find a single essential oil displaying the Golden Proportion within a Fractal structure is absolutely unique and helps explain Agonis Fragrans’ amazing power to energetically harmonize and rebalance.

Green & Purple Fluorite – my 10 year companion stone cleanses and stabilises the aura and all chakras. It absorbs and neutralises negative energy and stress. It encourages positivity, balances the energies, and improves balance and coordination, both physically and mentally. Fluorite boosts the immune system and stimulates the regeneration and restructuring of cells and DNA.

crystalMookaite – reflects the various colours of the Australian earth. She gives the desire for new experiences and the openness to see all the possibilities and choose the right one. Mookaite also encourages a deep connection to the wisdom and ancestors of Australia as well as helping to release emotions such as fear and anger.

How do I use the blend?

The blend can be used wherever you feel the need. The oils are blended in a base oil (organic Sunflower oil) so can be applied straight to the body (meditation, reflexology, chakra work) or sacred object (Jewellery/amulet/candle). Because it is a pre-blended oil it can’t be used in a diffuser.

When doing any form of healing on yourself you can apply a drop or two to your palms and inhale the aroma. You can also apply a drop or two to your feet or wherever you feel the blend and healing is needed whether that be a chakra, meridian or for example the heart.

If you are doing a healing on another ask the person who is having the healing session to inhale the aroma. Another way is to put a drop or two on a tissue nearby where they can smell it. You can also add a few drops to some base oil for massaging or apply straight from the bottle where where needed as above.

It works well when applied to the upper chakras of the body, where blockages occur and have become stuck. These can involve issues of grief, lingering hurts and emotional enmeshments stemming from unresolved family and other core issues and of course, pain and hurt from loss of love and relationships.

This is oil is priced at $30A and can be purchased here – ETSY store.

My Clairscentience shop is my way of giving service to others, I do not make much profit from sales, and what I do get goes into my love of oil therapy and towards ensuring my life affected by illness is enriched.

magic nature

The Golden Outback

I have been so busy lately following my joys and creating art from my heart with Aromatherapy. Something I gained a Diploma in many moons ago now when I realised my inner witch was calling me. I’ve always been drawn to nature and healing and it’s no surprise the energies of essential oils speak to me.

Many of my special creations seem to just intuitively create themselves…I hear the name or see the image and I get blending!

I sell my natural oil art (as I call it on my Clairscentience ESTY site and Facebook page) for others to purchase and enjoy. Anyway, digressing now…

The G o l d e n  O u t b a c k  – is a lotion stick / balm I have created to reflect the scent and spirit of Australia, my island home. This is also the name collectively given to a large part of Western Australia, the state I love in. Learn more about the region via this link.

It features some beautiful precious essential oils:

Fragonia -(Amazing Essential Oil) This oil was only discovered in the 1990’s in Western Australia’s south west region. It is a humble little bush tree that has the most appealing scent that I cannot stop smelling!! It has an ability to work at a deep level, releasing both physical and emotional blockages and bring harmony, peace and balance. It’s properties are Analgesic, Anti-allergenic, Anti-asthmatic, Anti-fungal, Anti-infectious, Anti-inflammatory, Anti-microbial, Anti-oxidant, Anti-spasmodic, Anti-viral, Expectorant, Hormone balancer, Strengthening. Appears to have a very positive effect in preventing or minimizing the symptoms of jet lag.

Spiritual Profile: 2nd Chakra – relationships, creation energy, 4th Chakra – unconditonal love, 6th Chakra – perspective, Balancing, Clarity, Expansive, Grounding, Source Energy, Unconditional love, Uplifting

Blue Mallee Eucalyptus -highly valued and recognised as highest quality Eucalyptus and it has a softer and less harsh scent in my opinion to other Eucalyptus oils. Eucalyptus trees were discovered by explorers in the late 1700’s. The Australian Aborigines have used the leaves to disinfect wounds and treat infections for thousands of years.

It is used for the temporary relief of headache, arthritis, rheumatism and muscular aches and pains. Effective as an insect repellent and is used to treat burns, blisters, cuts and wounds.Temporary relief of coughs and colds, flu, sinusitis and mucous congestion.

Spiritual Profile:  It brings relationships into the light -to our self, to others, to our work, and the divine. It allows us to see the patterns that hold us back with others, by showing us the big picture. Promotes opening of the solar plexus and heart chakras.

Buddha Wood -(Also known as Bastard Sandalwood or Australian Desert Rosewood) It is very relaxing and sedating and described as smelling like wood and whiskey like (and it so does!). Buddha Wood is analgesic, anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, calming, cooling, anti-bacterial, and a stimulant for the immune system. Helpful for sore muscles and joints. Used in sacred ceremonies to purify and remove negative energy.

Spiritual Profile: 1st Chakra – survival and support, 3rd Chakra – personal power, 7th Chakra – higher information, Expansive, Grounding, Meditative, Protective

Frangipani (Plumeria) Oil in healing and symbol

Frangipani is one of my favourite essential oils to work with and it is also expensive to purchase (10ml =up to$40).  But I couldn’t simply live with out it – the  sweet scent of buttery soft  floral petals enhanced by citrus is very appetizing!! I remember in my teens I would try to make my own flower infusions (not successfully I might add). I find Frangipani a wonderful companion to Australian Sandalwood (another favourite of mine).

My house is blessed with this beautiful tree, one sheltering my bedroom window and the others framing the front of the house. It’s beautiful waxy cream and yellow flowers make me happy, and it is a joy to see the flowers reappearing between December and April each year.

Frangipani is one of the most enticing and captivating scents due to its uplifting and soul soothing qualities and Ancient Indians believed it to be the “Tree of Life” due to its healing capacity. The oil will instantly relieve stress and replenish the mind and body, to induce peace and tranquility in your internal and external awareness. It also helps one to regain confidence and self-esteem, while soothing and relaxing the nerves and muscles of the body.

In the language of flowers, Frangipani (Plumeria) are said to stand for love long in absence and it is associated with “love” in Feng Shui. According to Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs (by Scott Cunningham; Llewellyn Publications, 1984) the frangipani (plumeria) is associated with the feminine, ruled by Venus, its element is water, its deity is Buddha, its power is love and its magical uses are in love spells.

“Warming” oils — such as those from Frangipani, Sandalwood, Lotus flower, Frankinense, Cinnamon and Basil — are said to have a calming influence on those suffering from fear, anxiety, insomnia or tremors, according to the principles of Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old Indian holistic science that seeks to balance mind, body and spirit.

Here is an overview of the oil properties

Fragrance: sweet, heady, fruity, floral

Emotions: Relieves stress (sedative), refreshes, instills high self-esteem, inspires romance, fearlessness, self harmonizing; Uplifts overall emotions about the self and the surrounding environment.

Skincare: Moisturizing on the skin (used by massage therapists to moisturize during massage). Smoothes dry and cracked skin, absorbs easily and helps keep skin soft. In India the oil has been used as the treatment for itches and fevers. It is believed that Mayan people added it for skin treatments.

Physical: Aphrodisiac, astringent, relieves inflammation, antioxidant, purifying, tones, reduces headache, relieves back pain and tinnitus, soothes and relaxes nerves and muscles; Excellent for maintaining well-functioning systems throughout the body.

Spiritual: Inner and outer self-awareness, inner peace and harmony, uplifts spirits and nourishes the soul.

Chakras Affected: First Chakra: Represents Courage, Passion, and Loyalty. This chakra allows one to be grounded and connected to the Earth. Fourth Chakra: Promotes love and a sense of trust in the grand design

The art of fluid emotion

I’ve coined a new word inspired by my love of all things sensual and in particular the profound psychological and physiological effects of natural oils. Clairscentience (the art of fluid emotion) will be my goal when creating my natural perfumes or skincare products. I want to invoke a theme, a story, a memory. Blending oils is therapeutic and a creative process for me and it connects me energetically with nature; essential oils are considered to be the blood or life force of a plant, flower, herb, wood etc.

I have a large selection of pure essential oils as well as cosmetic grade fragrant oils, and I am currently awaiting the order of some very fine and rare pure essences which I am ready to be inspired by. Here’s a little journey into some more rare and expensive oils which I will be using:

blackcurrentBlack Current Bud (Ribes nigrum) from France -Smells like sweet raisins, dry-fruitiness with tangy and deep earthy undertones. Adds an almost wine-like note to fine perfumes (middle note). In perfumery, Tom Ford’s Black Orchid features black current. It is rich in fatty acids and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Hay Absolute (Foin coupe) from France – Smells like deep, balsamic, tobacco, grassy rich aroma of freshly cut hay. Delightfully sweet, herbaceous, tenacious. Blends well with ylang ylang, bitter orange, tobacco absolute, clary sage, lemon and bergamot.

Sea Buckthorn (organic) (Hippophae rhamnoides) from Lithuania – smells like sweet, strong musky scent. Skin benefits include aiding the healing of wounds, burns, acne, dermatitis, and skin balancing. In fact the extract is a super oil. It comprises the rare Omega 7 fatty acid, which promotes the proper cellular function and health that benefits hair, skin and nails. It is key in collagen production that slows down ageing.

Tobacco Absolute (Nicotiana tabacum) from Bulgaria -smells like sweet, slightly smoky, rich aroma reminiscent of fine pipe tobacco. Adds depth to natural perfumes, especially masculine, creating intrigue to the most exotic florals…Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang Ylang.

Tuberose Absolute (Polianthes tuberosa) from India – smells like warm, honey-like, sweet flora aroma, peach leaf and spice-like underones. Theraputic use includes overcoming intimacy blocks, nervousness, stress, and negative attitudes; benefits intuition, creativity, sensuality, peace of mind, a positive resolve.

Carnation Absolute (Dianthus caryophyllus) from Egypt -one of my favourites, it smells like spicy, floral with strong green notes. It promotes healing of the skin and to increase vitality that not only softens and replenishes the skin, but creates a scent that many find soothing and calming to the spirit. Good for wrinkles, eczema and rashes.

Douglas Fir (organic) from France -smells like fresh, balsamic, soft aroma of fir needles -very christmassy!. It is a lovely oil that lifts your mood and acts as an antiseptic, antifungal, calmative, disinfectant, expectorant, and nervine. Great for colds and chest infections.

Orange Blossom Absolute (Citrus aurantium) from Egypt -another favourite of mine, smells like an intense rich aroma of Orange Blossoms. It is very sensual and heady!! I want to try it with Frangipani and Violet Leaf :).

Jasmine Absolute (various – from Egypt and India) -One of the most comforting oils it smells like sweet floral or can be darkly opulent and spicy. Often used as an aphrodisiac, balancing hormones, good for pregnancy as it eases childbirth, antidepressant, sedative, and dispels emotional blocks. Improves the skin elasticity, scars and marks.

The Rabbit is Dancing in the Garden
by Tiffany Anne Tondut
(inspired by the fragrance Ambre Noir by Angela Flanders)

You give me
le jardin and le lapin. Untying
with my tongue, I try:
le lapin dans le jardin.

The rabbit is dancing in the garden?”
No, the rabbit is IN the garden.
“Ah! Zhen pronounce it ‘dohn’ not ‘danse”
you laugh.

 Ce soir
you mock my le’s and la’s, catch out
my stuttering accent as I
process into compounds, into

merci pour les corrections…….I blush,
dispersing blooming pheromones
of scent, evoking lingerie…

……….its girlish spread…………….
……….of budding…………….

arousing words I needn’t say,
to make you twitch.

Coconut Oil Moisturiser

I have been interested in natural oil therapy since I was a teenager, and even before I gained a Diploma in Natural Oil Therapy, I was studying and reading about plant healing properties, and would be found grinding herbs and making my own concoctions.

One of my favourite ingredients, that I swear by, for skin and general health is organic extra virgin coconut oil. I use Nuilife certified organic Virgin Coconut Oil, that is non-GMO, non bleached, fair trade and extracted and packaged within an hour. If you are interested in this product you can visit the KokonutPacific website.

Coconut oil is an exfoliant and all over skin food, providing deep nourishment for dry and damaged skin and is the ideal anti-aging ingredient. It helps strengthen underlying tissues and helps remove excessive dead cell on the skin’s surface that makes your skin rough and flaky in texture. It prevents free radical formation and can protect against developing liver spots, blemishes caused by aging and sun damage. It is so easily absorbed into the skin and cell structure limiting damage.

Coconut oil has an abundant source of Medium-Chain Triglycerides, which when applied to your skin, your natural good bacteria convert these Medium-Chain Triglycerides into Antimicrobial Fatty Acids. Antimicrobial Fatty Acids prevent viral, fungal, and bacterial infections, including yeast! Antimicrobial Fatty Acids act like nature’s natural bodyguards for your skin.

I have created a lovely moisturiser, that not only smells divine but is enriched with pure essential oils (not fragrant) properties that will compliment the properties of coconut oil.

15ml of extra virgin organic coconut oil

2 drops of Bulgarian Rose essential oil

2 drops of Neroli essential Oil

2 drops of Frangipani essential oil

2 drops of Violet essential oil

(shake well before each use, then roll onto the skin and blend with fingertips. Use morning and night)

Summary of essential oils

I use premium ingredients and organically sourced where possible.

BULGARIAN ROSE -The antibacterial property helps regulate skin oil production, and has anti inflammatory properties, can reduce redness. The rose oil creates a feeling of calm, antidepressant and well-being.

NEROLI -can help to regenerate skin cells and is a rejuvenating oil useful to prevent ugly scar tissue, promote a smoother skin, fighting stretch marks and broken capillaries. Great for anxiety, depression, fear, shock and stress too.

FRANGIPANI -emotionally uplifting properties.  Restores inner peace and harmony which guides us to honour the sacred in all relationships, especially intimate ones. Absorbs easily and helps keep skin soft and smooth.  It is also reported to offer some protection against UV-B rays.

VIOLET -It helps circulation, and helps aging skin look younger and has a shrinking effect on enlarged pores. Soothes and comforts sensitive, dry, itchy, red and problem skin. Good for calming and reducing tension.

The power of scent….

Since time began, the blending of oils and herbs have been used by people to create positive changes in their lives.

Everything has a spiritual essence, including essential oils, which are extracted spirits or personalities of various parts of herbs, plants and flowers. Almost all civilisations applied some form of primitive aromatherapy in their daily lives.

Aromatherapy is the art and science of blending essential oils for therapeutic use. The oils are natural, organic and highly aromatic extracts obtained from minute glands in flowers, roots, stalks, seeds, leaves, bark and rinds of plants. Each essential oil is unique and comprised of harmless chemical constituents. The essential oil of a Rose has over 500 different components. These essences are often called the lifeblood or hormones, because they trigger messages to the plant and protect them from harm.

One of the most positive benefits of these oils is their ability to affect our state of mind, because the molecules of the oil when inhaled travel directly the limbic area of the brain, which processes smell, and is also the seat of emotions, memory and learning.

Essential oils are the spirit of life. So by using them to anoint your body or objects, whilst visualising your goals or dreams, you are actually connecting your energy with those of the particular oil. The magical connection is the power of life. Using your will and belief we can take on and envelop the energies of nature. The oils work at all levels of our being, they can help resolve the past.  Just think about how different scents evoke feeling in you. Have you ever noticed that a particular scent can bring forth a rush of vivid memories? The scent of a particular perfume might remind you of a romantic partner with whom your relationship ended on a sour note or brought much happiness, or roses remind you of your grandmother, or jasmine may remind you of a holiday to Bali. Did you know that some companies even use scent or ambient branding! Singapore Airlines was one of the first companies to develop a uniform scent in their airline cabins. Western Hotels uses a White Tea fragrance to create a zen-like feel to their environment.

The best way to make use of the oil’s energy is to use them with the lunar cycle. This is because all water, fluids, saps, blood and energies are highly affected by moon phases. So whether you are using your favourite perfume, oil blends, or balms, you can create a ritual and experience that is meaningful or empowering to you.

Anointing with essential oils:

  • visualise your goals whilst anointing your body, crystal, candle or any other object, and use all your senses to encompass the energies
  • you can run your oil onto candles whilst visualising or meditating. Inhale the oil as it burns
  • basic anointing locations: temple, heart, wrists, abdomen, throat or chakra points
  • you can release the energies into a bath (add 6-8 drops to a quarter of a cup of milk, swirl and add to bath)
  • boost crystals with oils – let your intuition guide you

Working with the Moon

The New Moon

Sap is in the root of plant or tree.

Select meditative oils: Lavendar, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Clary Sage, Geranium, Jasmine, Vanilla, or Cinnamon

Totem Animal: The Hawk – representing focus, aims and perception.

Now is the time to renew things in your life. A good time for self-affirmations, you are creative and in need to flow. Visualise yourself as whole, ask yourself what you wish to achieve. See yourself carrying out your goals. Try drawing them, collaging, writing them as  you inhale your oil or scent. This is the beginning of a new cycle.

Light Comes From Within is a perfume that was created to represent new beginnings. It features bergamot top note and middle notes of freesia, honeysuckle and night blooming jasmine. And a base of oceanic musk and white cedar. This fragrance was inspired to evoke the California sunlight, coastal air and more ethereal manifestations of nature’s beauty.

Waxing Moon

New moon to waxing. midnight to sunrise – sap flows from the tip of the roots to the surface of the ground or the main truck of a plant or tree. Sunset to midnight -sap flows from the surface of ground to the tips of the roots.

Select protective oils: Frankincense, Rosemary, Nutmeg, Tangerine or Pine

Totem Animal: The Deer – representing pacing, placid and free flowing energies.

This is the time to energise your new projects, or those you are still undergoing. Adjust, adopt, grow. Allow things to develop. This is a good time for healing. When you use your oil or scent, visualise yourself working towards your goal, seeing opportunities and having courage and faith to see things through. Frankincense is a good confidence and courage oil.

Full Moon

Sunrise to Midday – sap rises from the ground to the tips of the leaves. Use of oils at this time will sedate.

Select visionary oils: Sandalwood, Lotus, Eucalypt, Rose, All Spice, Orange or blossomed flowers.

Totem Animal: The Unicorn – representing power, sacredness and healing.

This is a perfect time to celebrate energies in your life. It is a time for honouring your achievements and faith in your efforts so far. As you use your oil or scent, see the completion of your goals. Now you can express yourself and let the universal energies flow. Everything is indeed sacred to you. A blend of Sandalwood and Rose is an intoxicating and beautiful blend.

Some Perfumers have even created scents to connect with moon! Oriflame (Swedish perfume) created this romantic Full Moon collection inspired by the sentimental moments of a love pair in a night of full moon.

Waning Moon

Midday to Midnight – sap flows from the tips to the ground.

Select ceremonial oils: Patchouli, Myrrh, Lemon, Juniper, Rose and Honeysuckle (good for letting go of the past)

Totem Animal: The Wolf – representing protection, purification and wisdom.

This is a time for releasing  obstacles of your life. Evaluate your current situation and decide what things must end. Write your concerns on paper, drop some oils or scent on to it, and burn it. See things in a positive light, as you annoint or scent something, know it is a time to accept things must end and new things must grow. Believe in yourself.

Using Essential oils or herbs internally: If you use in the morning, they will work on limbs, head and skin. If you use in the evening, they will work on the truck of body and organs.

Using Essential oils or herbs externally:If you use in the morning, they will work on the whole body. If you use in the evening, they will work on the locally applied area.

Emotions in a Bottle (which is yours?)

Think about some of the perfumes you may like – there is more to it than you realise. Researchers have identified that there are seven scent categories that can invoke moods:

1. Floriental scents – These offer romantic, dream-based moods that are often idealistic in nature. They create emotional places where feelings can serve as a master, not just a guide. Perfumes like Halloween Kiss (J Del Pozo), In Control Curious (Britney Spears), Lolita Lempicka, Notorious (Ralph Lauren), Kenzo Flower
2. Aldehyic-floral scents- These tend to project a classical, elegant, or cultured mood. They can evoke feelings of wealth, power, and freedom. Perfumes like Chanel No5, White Linen (Estee Lauder)
3. Oriental scents – These offer introspection, sensitivity, and reflection as their base moods. These can evoke a deep, spiritual understanding and intense relationship bonds. Perfumes like Lou Lou (Cacharel), Princess (Vera Wang), Opium (for Woman), Obsession for Woman (CK)
4.Fruity-floral scents –These project a carefree, playful, and cheerful mood. These fragrances create curiosity and an openness to change that would not ordinarily exist without them. Happy (Clinique),J’Adore (Dior), Pacific Paradise (Escada), Juicy Couture
5.Powdery-aldehydic scents – These scents offer an independent, unconventional, and unfettered mood. These scents offer an artistic freedom. Perfumes like Chanel No5, Blonde (Versace), Vintage (Kate Moss)
6.Fresh green floral scents – These project a dynamic, active, and extroverted mood. These scents invoke feelings of risk and the exhilaration that goes with that risk. Perfumes like Chanel No.19, Lauren (Ralph Lauren), and Beautiful (Estee Lauder).
7.Chypre scents -These fragrances project professional, pragmatic, and self-assured moods. These are no nonsense scents that offer a feeling of practicality.Perfumes like Be Delicious (DKNY), Ange au Demon (Givenchy), Knowing (Estee Lauder)
