Magic of the Mermaid

Hear her sing by pale moonlight

upon the coastal rocky edge

her voice so fair and faerylike

enchanting ghostly ships at night

she sings, she enchants

whilst mother moon lay high

wispy winds catch her long hair

and cool her pale wet face

she sings, she sighs

holding her proud head high

and moves like a fish

into waters of the dark night

and if you shall sit, calm and still

enveloping sounds in the witches hour

sure as sure as the moon is full

you’ll hear the mermaids musical voice

feel her there, and she will be there

frolicking not far by
