Monarchs

Standard

There’s a little half opened gate, just off the side of the main road, and if you take the path it will lead you to a lofty view of Adelaide suburbia and beyond.

A dusty and rocky trail with dotted native trees invite you upwards toward the barren hills.

I was captured here in a moment, that others may just quickly acknowledge and continue idly.

But I don’t… it’s a such a wonderous sight. Hundreds of migrating Monarch butterflies adorning a modest tree in the mid morning sunshine.

A limited life awaits them, but I see them and wish to appreciate their sameness, but individual motions, moods as they flutter amber and black wings, and spotted bodies collectively in their residence.

Nature’s beauty and gentleness fluttering by in a moment of time.
